Description
This Sweet Potato Mash is a creamy and flavorful side dish, combining sweet and savory ingredients like labne, maple syrup, and spices, perfect for complementing any main course.
INGREDIENTS

Labne | 1/3 cup | |
Lemon | 1 1/3 tbsp | |
Nutmeg | 2/3 tsp | |
Maple Syrup | 1 1/3 tbsp | |
Molasses | 2/3 tbsp | |
Pepper | 1/3 tsp | |
Sage | 1 1/3 tbsp | minced |
Salt | 2/3 tsp | |
Sweet Potato | 2 2/3 | large |
PREPARATION
- Roast whole sweet potatoes with skin on and holes poked in them in a 400 °F (205°C) oven for about an hour
- Remove from oven and let cool before peeling off skin
- Remove sweet potato flesh and place in a large bowl with all other ingredients.
- Fill two 9 oz ramekins or 4 smaller ones with sweet potato mash and place back in oven on broil for 10 minutes or until tops are nicely browned
SUGGESTIONS
- This went beautifully with the turkey kofte found in this recipe pack
- I sprinkled a bit of lemon zest on top for an extra kick of sour. I’m a real sucker for the sweet sour combo.
