This sautéed cabbage and apples recipe combines the sweetness of apples with the savory flavor of cabbage, creating a delicious and healthy side dish that's perfect for any meal.

Red Cabbage | 1 head | small, chopped |
Apples | 2 | small, sliced, gala or another crisp variety |
Yellow Onion | 1 | medium, chopped |
Poppy Seeds | 1 tbsp | |
Olive Oil | 1 tbsp | |
Salt | 1 tsp | or to taste |
Pepper | several grinds | |
Poppy Seeds | 1/4 cup | |
Coconut Oil | 2 tbsp | |
Salt |
PREPARATION
- Melt the coconut oil and saute the onions until tender.
- Add cabbage and season with salt & pepper.
- Stir and saute for about another 10 minutes.
- Toss in apples and let soften.
- Add poppy seeds before serving.
