Description
This sautéed mussels recipe features fresh mussels cooked in a flavorful broth with garlic, smoked paprika, and lemon juice, creating a delicious dish perfect for sharing or enjoying as a main course.
INGREDIENTS

Bone Broth | 1 cup | |
Garlic | 3 clove | minced |
Lemon Juice | 2 1/2 tbsp | |
Mussels | 2 lb | |
Olive Oil | 4 tbsp | |
Smoked Paprika | 1/2 tsp | |
Parsley | 2 tbsp | chopped |
Red Pepper Flakes | 1/4 tsp | |
Shallots | 1/4 cup | finely chopped |
PREPARATION
- Scrub the mussels, removing any beard or dirt.
- Heat a pan on medium heat, add olive oil and shallots and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic, smoked paprika, parsley, and red pepper flakes, cook for another 3-4 minutes until garlic has softened.
- Add the bone broth and bring it up to a simmer. Then, add the mussels and lemon juice, top with a lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
SUGGESTIONS
- Serve with some crusty bread to sop up the sauce, it’s the best part of the meal.
- Makes a great appetizer or main course with some accompaniments.
