Description
These Salmon Nori Rolls are a delightful combination of fresh vegetables and smoked salmon, wrapped in nori seaweed. Perfect as a light meal or an elegant appetizer for gatherings.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 4 people

Smoked Salmon | 10 2/3 oz | |
Nori Seaweed Sheets | 8 | |
Carrot | 1 1/3 | medium |
Cucumber | 1 1/3 | medium |
Green Onion | 2 2/3 stems | |
Avocado | 1 1/3 | large |
Tamari | 2 2/3 tbsp | |
Wasabi | 1 1/3 tbsp | or to taste |
PREPARATION
- Julienne slice (long matchstick shape) carrots, cucumber, green onion and avocado and set aside.
- Lay nori sheet flat and arrange vegetable matchsticks along center line all the way across. Evenly distribute smoked salmon pieces along center line on top of veggies.
- Roll nori seaweed sheet into one long tube with salmon and veggies wrapped inside.
- Slice into 2 - 3 inch sections and skewer each with a toothpick to keep together.
- Serve with a small ramekin of tamari and wasabi mixture if desired.
SUGGESTIONS
- You may also decide to add steamed sushi rice (a shorter and stickier type of grain), which will bind roll together better and will not require toothpick skewers.
