Description
This herb pesto recipe combines fresh herbs like cilantro and chives with garlic and olive oil, creating a vibrant, flavorful sauce perfect for enhancing vegetables, meats, and seafood dishes.
INGREDIENTS

Chives | 2/7 cup | chopped |
Spinach | 1 1/7 cup | |
Garlic | 1 1/7 clove | |
Olive Oil | 2/7 cup | |
Apple Cider Vinegar | 1/7 cup | |
Salt | 4/7 tsp | or to taste |
Pepper | several grinds |
PREPARATION
- Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and puree until smooth, about 2 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape edges.
- Store in a sealed container, preferably glass, in the fridge for up to a week. You may also freeze for months at a time, placing in the fridge to defrost a day before use.
SUGGESTIONS
- Herb pesto is another herbaceous sauce variation that can add flavor to vegetables, meat or seafood.
- Add a dollop here and there as you wish.
