These delicious fish tacos feature tender cod, fresh vegetables, and a zesty garlic-lime sauce, all wrapped in crisp lettuce for a light and flavorful meal perfect for any occasion.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 4 people

Cod | 1 1/2 lb | cut into 1 inch cubes |
Iceberg Lettuce | 1 head | large, quartered |
Red Cabbage | 1/4 head | small, shaved |
Cherry Tomato | 1/2 lb | halved |
Avocado | 1 | large, chopped |
Green Onion | 2 stems | chopped |
Cilantro | 1/2 bunch | leaves removed |
Garlic | 4 clove | minced |
Olive Oil Mayonnaise | 2 tbsp | |
Olive Oil | 2 tbsp | |
Limes | 2 | medium, juice only |
Chili Powder | 1/2 tsp | |
Salt | 1/2 tsp | or to taste |
Pepper | several grinds |
PREPARATION
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic, lime juice, salt & pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet and add fish. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and chili powder. Cook on medium for about 4 minutes, then stir very gently to turn over and cook for another few minutes until done. Set aside.
- Assemble by dividing the iceberg lettuce wedges and spoon some fish over a section a few leaves thick. Top with cabbage, tomato, avocado, green onion and cilantro and drizzle the sauce over them before serving.
SUGGESTIONS
- You may use another type of white fish like Tilapia as well.
- Add some spice with chili-based hot sauce.
