Description
Cabbage steaks are a delicious and healthy dish, seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and spices, then oven-roasted to perfection. They make a versatile side or a satisfying snack.
INGREDIENTS

Garlic | 3 1/5 clove | minced |
Green Cabbage | 4/5 | cut into 1/2 inch steaks |
Olive Oil | 2/5 cup | |
Parsley | 4/5 sprig | finely chopped, for garnish |
Pepper | 1/5 tsp | |
Salt | 2/5 tsp |
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 400 °F (205°C)
- Slice cabbage into ½ inch thick steaks
- Whisk garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and chili powder together until well combined
- Pour olive oil mixture onto cabbage steaks and rub into both sides
- Sprinkle caraway seeds evenly onto each steak
- Oven roast on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 20 minutes on each side or until edges are nicely browned and crispy
- Garnish with parsley
SUGGESTIONS
- Eat this with sauteed mushrooms and capers on top
- Use as a side dish with roasted chicken and potatoes
