This braised endives recipe features tender, caramelized endives cooked in butter and maple syrup, offering a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors, perfect as a side dish for any meal.

Endives | 6 | sliced lengthwise |
Sea Salt | 1 | sprinkle |
Maple Syrup | 2 tbsp |
PREPARATION
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Once it starts to lightly bubble, place the sliced endives in the pan flat, cut side down. Lightly sprinkle with sea salt.
- Allow endives to cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes, until they are nicely browned and slightly softened.
- Add maple syrup to pan and caramelize for 1 minute.
- Serve, cut side up so the lovely caramelized leaves are on display
