Description
This Asian Braised Cabbage recipe features tender leeks and green cabbage, sautéed with fish sauce, tamari, and lime juice, creating a flavorful and healthy side dish for any meal.
INGREDIENTS

Leeks | 1 | light green and white parts only |
Butter | 1 tbsp | or oil of choice |
Green Cabbage | 1 head | large |
Salt | 1 pinch | |
Fish Sauce | 1 tsp | |
Tamari | 1 | splash |
Lime Juice | 1 tbsp |
PREPARATION
- Trim leeks of green parts and root, wash, and slice in half lengthwise. Make sure all dirt is cleaned from the layers. Then slice into ¼ inch strips width wise.
- Heat a large skillet on a medium flame, add leeks, a pinch of salt and saute until softened, about 3 minutes.
- While leeks are sautéing, cut cabbage head in half, remove core, and slice into ¼-½ inch wide ribbons, like a slaw.
- Add cabbage ribbons to the pan with another pinch of salt and fish sauce, sautee until softened, about 10 minutes.
- Add tamari & lime juice, serve.
