Description
This Fish Tacos recipe features flaky tilapia wrapped in warm corn tortillas, topped with fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes, and a creamy white sauce, perfect for a flavorful meal.
INGREDIENTS

Tilapia | 2 lbs | can also use cod, any fresh milld white fish will do |
Corn Tortillas | 12 | |
Avocado | 1 | chopped |
Cherry Tomato | 1 cup | cut in half |
Cabbage | 1/2 cup | shredded |
Cilantro | 1/2 cup | diced |
Green Onion | 1/2 cup | diced |
Mayonnaise | 4 tbsp | I make my own with Olive Oil |
Lemon Juice | 2 1/2 tbsp | 2.5 tbsp is about 1 lemon |
Garlic | 4 clove | crushed |
Olive Oil | 2 tbsp | |
Butter | 1 pat | |
White Wine | 2 tbsp | |
Salt | ||
Pepper |
PREPARATION
- Prepare a white sauce by combining the mayo, lemon juice, crushed garlic and salt & pepper.
- Set aside and prep the vegetable toppings, each in their own bowl.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pan and lay fish fillets in side-by-side.
- Sprinkle tops with salt & pepper and let cook on medium for about 4 minutes.
- Flip, sprinkle with salt & pepper again and after a couple of minutes, add the white wine to steam for a couple more minutes.
- Heat the tortillas in the oven (wrapped in foil) or individually in a dry skillet.
- Assemble and serve, or the other way around.
