Overview
Revival strength is a series of short high-intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise workouts, led by the super fit Shanna Guzman.
There are three styles of workouts featured in the Revival Daily program.
- Revival Daily #001—#006 are 20-minute Tabata workouts. Tabata is a high-intensity interval training method developed by Dr. Izumi Tabata. It consists of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. These sessions are geared to boost both aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
- Revival Daily #007—#012 are 22-minute Functional Bodybuilding Workouts. This training method blends traditional bodybuilding techniques with functional movement patterns. These workouts are intended to build strength and mobility while enhancing overall athletic performance.
- Revival Daily #013—#018 are 24-minute Body Weight Flow workouts. Body weight flow is a dynamic sequence of bodyweight movements devised to improve mobility, stability, and strength, with fluid transitions from exercise to exercise.
These workouts predominantly rely on bodyweight exercises, meaning that they can be done basically anywhere regardless of equipment and space constraints. Some activities do incorporate TRX straps, but it’s super easy to substitute the movements if you don’t have straps at your disposal.
Pro Tip
Some workouts in this program have timed exercises. We also provide a number of reps if you prefer to count reps instead of doing the exercises for time. If you do plan on timing, some of your workouts, you can use your cell phone timer or you can find an app in your App Store that allows you to schedule things like Tabata timers.
Number of Workouts
There are 18 workouts in this workout pack.
Duration of Workouts
The workouts range from 20-24 minutes in length, depending on the style of workout being featured. Sessions include a warm-up, followed by the main exercise sequences, ultimately concluded with a cooldown involving light movement and/or static stretching.
Try This
Since these workouts are short (but intense!), they’re great for waking yourself up in the middle of an afternoon slump.
We would suggest testing out at least one of each of the main types of workouts presented (tabata, functional bodybuilding, and body weight flow), to get a feel for the program. If you have a full hour available and lots of energy, you can even try three of them back-to-back!
